The GQ Eye: Shelf Life: Goose Barnacle Now Available Online
- May 08, 2015
"David Alperin grew up just blocks away from his meticulously curated, menswear shop Goose Barnacle. As a fourth generation Atlantic avenue merchant, Alperin has the retail business in his blood. His grandfather came to New York in the 1930s, started a deli and later opened Long Island Bar, serving Irish sailors from the U.S.Navy docked in the East River.
Goose Barnacle specializes in a mix of hard to find, ridiculously on-point European, American, and more recently, Japanese made casual wear, as well as his lovingly crafted in-house line of apparel, accessories, and home goods, all of which is as well priced as it is enviably cool. Now that it's available online at goosebarnacle.com, you can get your hands on some of the goodness no matter where you are. But to get the real experience and count yourself amongst a core group of regulars, including some very stylish GQ editors, you'll have to make the trip to 91 Atlantic."
